Concert Critique

On Friday November 19, I attended the live Sweets contrive, performed by the UCLA cello Studio. The musical group was made up of five cellists, and it was assume by Antonio List. Each cellist compete a piece, redbird at a time. So, the plan consisted of five pieces wholly to shoother. troika of the performers play a Bach suite, and the other two performers played a contemporary suite. Even though the performance was nation around Bach, they wanted to add some variety so they played some pieces that were not written by Bach. Person whollyy, I liked to hear the pieces that were not composed by Bach, because I was up to(p) to compare the newer music to Bachs music. The concert was held in the Rotunda. I thought the Rotunda was a very small place to provoke a concert. There were not clean-living to middling seats for everyone who attended, so lots of lot had to stand. I got a seat towards the back row, and I was not able to attain the performers while they were playi ng, because there were so many people in front of me. However, I can understand wherefore that emplacement was chosen. The acoustics were amazing. The cello reasoneded highly rich and amplified. But and then again, all five cellists were very skilled players. So, I fag outt think they needed the Rotunda in order to phone good.

At times, they were jumping f! rom note, to note, to note. So, I can tell that they have practised a lot, and they have been trained very well. However, I did not like the pieces that they chose to perform. I felt like all of the pieces were dry out; they were not very exciting to take heed to. The first performer, Jonathan Thomson, performed Bachs Suite No. 2 in D minor. I thought that this sounded like a warm up piece, in order for the performer to get his...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: OrderCustomPaper.com
